Goldland offer a Powered Air Respirator for Protection against Covid-19 and other undesirable airborne particulates.
From the media it seems our NHS and Police are protected by simple face masks and visors or goggles.
The problem with any respiratory mask or half mask is the ability to draw the air through them negative pressure. So when the users have to use their own energy to pull air through the mask it will inevitably cause a degree of fatigue.
Face masks can be poorly fitted and be far less efficient than the users might expect. Could be as low as 75%
By using a powered air respirator, fresh air is circulated to the breathing area creating a positive pressure. This means no effort by the user in drawing the air through the filter. The positive air pressure also prevents unfiltered air to enter the hood making the protection much more reliable.
